Outsourcing and offshoring. What is it about? The manufacturing of prescription drugs is controlled by China. Has this country finally started to wake up? I saw on the news that we don’t even make our prescription drugs in this country. It’s time to put a halt to this outsourcing (Offshoring). The news media tells us that to return this manufacturing to the U.S., the government needs to help finance the drug companies rebuild the manufacturing in this country.
Is this a time to panic? I don’t care for the reports that seems to be pointing us in this direction. Media programs also say that China could cause our drug prices to skyrocket if they chose to do so. The news report also said that they didn’t think that China would do this (at least it was an opinion (using don’t think) and the media reported this could cause millions of Americans to either die or be very sick without these drugs. What they didn’t report was that President Trump is actively working to correct this problem.
According to Betsy McCaughey, former Lt. Governor of New York, the FDA suspects that China has maliciously contaminated drugs in the past resulting in the deaths of Americans. She also says that FDA is in charge of inspecting the Chinese drug manufacturing factories. This is not done adequately. The FDA has 29 inspectors for over 3,000 drug manufacturers in China. They do not even come close to meeting the standards that manufacturers have to comply to in this country. Don’t believe me. We need to take action
What does this mean? What is your conclusion? Mine is that we are being told that to preserve the lives of Americans, that the taxpayer is supposed to bail out these billion dollar companies. Politicians need to do something besides infighting. Get off your butts Congress. Start representing the American people, not the big money political special interests that donate to your re-election funds. This is a bipartisan issue. Keep the pork out and back up the sitting president. Now, not after an election. Drug manufacturer donate to both sides of the fence. Lets be logical, if both sides of the fence lost their donations, they would be in the same place that they are now. Well, maybe less free perks. If congress can’t do this, get rid of them and get someone in who will make this a priority.
