What about health Insurance? Health insurance matters to all of us. If you are a liberal or progressive, you think it should be free to everyone. Seniors are highly concerned because they have more medical issues as they get older and their bodies start failing. A person holding a job has to think about their health benefit plan, and if they have job security. In conclusion, everyone has an interest in health insurance and what it does for them.
A problem exists
We are all concerned, and a problem exists. The cost is to expensive, for us and for the government. Almost 48% of the federal budget is used for some form of medical expenses for the people that live in this country. Medicare only pays 80 percent of covered medical procedures. That is not all. There is also a list of procedures and tests that medicare won’t cover. How does this help the average person if the medical bill is a couple hundred thousand dollars? The same thing goes for most other medical plans. Most have deductibles on plans that allows you to see a doctor of your choice. Furthermore, other plans give you a list of doctors that are in the plan.
Solution?
Is medicare the right solution for seniors? Does Obama Care fill the bill for the people that don’t have medical insurance? When I was injured and retired in 1980 the benefits package for most employees was 58% of the amount of the wages. What about health insurance. When I had to retire I still had a family of four beside myself. The cost of the insurance took most of my retirement. I was 40 years old. My family was young. At this time the cost was excessive, but I had no choice. I paid and worked other jobs.
is Obama Care and Medicare a solution. I don’t know about you, but it didn’t solve much for me. Obama Care makes people that can’t afford insurance buy it anyway. If you can’t afford to buy the medical insurance and you don’t buy it, you’ll be fined. Wow, what a solution. To make things worse, There are many medical issues that Medicare and Obama Care don’t cover. If you don’t have Medical insurance, hospital and doctors costs are excessive. They are many times the amount that insurance pays.
