What Do You Know

What do you know? Today we are dealing with COVID-19. We need to decide what is true. What we fact and what we think is not have large differences. I know that congress claims that Social Security and Medicare are bankrupting our government. Take notice of the last statement. Are you sure if it is true or not.

Doing only what we know is impractical. Facts are facts but we can’t always depend on them. Have you ever heard, “I’ve seen the numbers.” My thoughts always revert to, who made up the numbers. Doing what you think is right is subjective.

News Flash – Newsome to order masks

The news on TV just announced that Governor Newsom is going to order new masks for hospitals and safety workers. The news went on to say that a California manufacturing company would get the order and the masks would be made out of country. The newscast says that the initial cost 495 Million Dollars and would have a final cost of 990 Million Dollars. This is 10 Million less than 1 Billion Dollars.

What I do know

This is setting a dangerous precedence. California was among the first states to tell people that they had to stay home. He shut down businesses. Thousands now have no income. The governor said he did this because he could. Now he plans to spend almost 1 billion dollars on an amount of equipment that we are not sure that we need. The crisis exists. The predictions have been wrong. The major media hat pounded danger into the public’s head. This causes panic. It sounds familiar with how Hitler took over Germany.

The United States reacts slower than most countries. Requesting a vote is how most thing, not ordered. We have laws and our government has to have permission to act on most things. I know that the President can act as Commander In Chief can protect this country against foreign enemies. His power is limited. He didn’t have the power that Newsom thinks that he has.

Perspective

I read something interesting today. It was a story about a alcoholic man and this two sons. One son grew up and claimed he saw his father and followed his example, and never drank. They had the same example but a different perspective. Trump and Obama are examples of this. What is your opinion?
